WHO IS THE UNITED UKRAINE APPEAL?

United Ukraine Appeal (UUA) is a registered Australian charity dedicated to delivering humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine with the urgency the situation demands. UUA was established in March 2022 following the escalation of the full scale invasion of Ukraine.

We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). The Australian Taxation Office also endorses us as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). As a result, we are eligible to accept tax-deductible donations from both Australian individuals and organisations.

WHO DOES THE UNITED UKRAINE APPEAL HELP?

The United Ukraine Appeal (UUA) is dedicated to helping the people of Ukraine that are suffering as a result of the Russian invasion, including those that are injured, displaced or seeking refuge.

WHAT TYPE OF AID IS MOST NEEDED?

The United Ukraine Appeal is currently focused on delivering medical and humanitarian aid, veteran rehabilitation and non-violent defence. To that end, we are working hard to quickly deliver the following initiatives:

• Food

• Medication, medical services, and medical equipment

• Transport vehicles, particularly ambulances

• Technical equipment, such as power generators and powerbanks

• Veteran and civilian rehabilitation programs (including psychological assistance)

• Protection gear, protection items for medical staff, hazmat suits

WHY DO YOU CAMPAIGN IN AUSTRALIA?

The tragic war in Ukraine is the largest humanitarian crisis in Europe since World War II. As a result of the fighting, millions of people are living as refugees in Ukraine and abroad, including Australia.

While the Australian Government has provided millions of dollars of aid, more needs to be done to alleviate the impact of this war. This is where the United Ukraine Appeal aims to take action. We are aiming to provide Australian businesses and individuals a way to directly help the people of Ukraine with tangible outcomes and the urgency the unfolding situation demands.

The United Ukraine Appeal was founded by Australians who were born in Ukraine, we are dedicated to raising awareness about the tragic circumstances of many people caught in the middle of the war and take action to help them.

DOES UNITED UKRAINE APPEAL HAVE ANY POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS AFFILIATIONS?

The United Ukraine Appeal is dedicated to helping Ukrainians who have been impacted by the Russian invasion. We are independent of any religious or political affiliation.

WHERE DOES UNITED UKRAINE APPEAL WORK?

Our work is focused on assisting people affected by the current invasion of Ukraine. Our work largely takes place in Ukraine, but may also extend to helping in neighbouring countries.

IS YOUR ORGANISATION TRANSPARENT? CAN I SEE WHERE MY FUNDS ARE USED?

Our financial reporting is fully transparent. We at United Ukraine Appeal are proud of our mission and values. We will endeavour to provide our fully audited financial stamens on an annual basis.

HOW MUCH OF MY DONATION IS SPENT ON ADMINISTRATION?

Thanks to the support of our private backers, the costs of running the United Ukraine Appeal are covered, so external donations will reach those in need and go directly to supporting the mission.

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO USE MY DONATION? I AM AGAINST FACILITATING MILITARY ACTIONS. 

We do not spend our funds to purchase lethal equipment. We support humanitarian efforts, transport and logistics, and the provision of medical assistance and rehabilitation to those in need.

I RECEIVED AN EMAIL OFFERING ME MONEY AND REQUESTING PERSONAL DETAILS, CLAIMING TO BE FROM UNITED UKRAINE APPEAL. IS IT LEGITIMATE AND SHOULD I RESPOND?

United Ukraine Appeal will never send emails offering money or requesting personal details. If you receive an email like this, we advise you not to open it. United Ukraine Appeal does, however, send regular emails updating you on our work or occasionally asking you to donate to an appeal. These emails will never ask for your financial information and, instead, contain a link to our secure online donation page. When you donate, your card information is processed, encrypted and stored by a specialised and highly secure payment service organisation.
